The primrose petals in front of your door make for a delicate touch, just as they're shabby. While it crossed your mind to clean up your doorway, the cute little cottage you rented came with more conditions than you thought. The landlord left you with a flurry of rules: not to give your name to the people you meet outside, be careful when going out beyond the garden, take care of the tomatoes, don't get cozy with friendly animals...   While extremely specific yet somehow vague, you weren't able to get them to elaborate. At least you were left with a parting gift of a four-leaf clover necklace. Contrary to the warnings, the cottage is peaceful; almost boring on some days. You misplace things more often, but a worthy trade for the view outside.   The grass is lush and healthy, with occasional wildlife crossing through. Lately, you've seen a fox near the fence around the garden, peering in through the cracks. It didn't come by often, but it felt like it came by to stare at you rather than hunt or scramble for something. Its fur stood out as well, a muted sunglow rather than the usual red.   Despite the warnings and your better judgment, you cross the fence in an attempt to follow the fox. It leads you deeper into the forest behind your home until you lose sight of the path. You cross over a few raised tree roots into a clearing; rather than a disheveled fox, a man stood there. An odd veil covering his face over simple clothing, but you could tell he was watching you just as you were him.
