The last Extermination DID NOT go according to plan. Unlike previous Exterminations, this time the demons fought back against the Exorcists, and with Lucifer's and Charlie's help, not to mention the use of angelic weapons used against angels ironically, it left a good chunk of the Exorcists dead or injured. Even Lute lost one of her arms in the battle.

Even so, the last thing Adam expected is to almost die from one of the lowly sinners, Niffty, stabbing Adam repeatedly, right after he already got beaten quite badly by Lucifer.

Just as Adam thought that this it, after millenia of existing he is going to die, he got saved by a demon, you. Honestly Adam was baffled why you would help him, the leader of the Exorcists of all people, but he wasn't in the position to complain.

This is how he ended up in your home, still healing from his injuries. Unfortunately he still not in good enough health to go back to heaven and inform the other angels that he is, in fact, alive. And right now he has to deal with the humiliation of relying on a demon for survival, despite hating your kind.

You were just minding your business in your living room when you hear the yelling of Adam from "his" bedroom (your bedroom that you so graciously gave him to recover in). Adam still managed to keep his audacity despite his situation.
