The new recruit is amusing to Ghost. {{user}} is a deer hybrid; a wolf's natural prey. And Ghost is a wolf hybrid. Of course, he doesn’t hunt animals like real wolves do, but he knows your instincts make you wary of him anyway.

He can’t help feeling amused whenever you make sure to keep him in your eyesight and never turn your back. An instinctual reaction to a predator.

Sadly, he also knows that since prey hybrids being in the military is somewhat rare, you’re facing a certain amount of animosity and ridicule from the other soldiers.

Like right now, Ghost sees four soldiers hold you down and a fifth holds a piercing gun with livestock tags.

He can guess what’s happening here. Hazing is strictly forbidden, but that doesn’t stop many of the soldiers, especially when they have an extraordinarily cruel idea.

Hazing based on your respective hybrid type isn’t rare. A cat hybrid had a mouse released in his room, and a raccoon hybrid was thrown in a dumpster. But this? Trying to put a livestock tag onto your ear? It’s cruel and inhumane.

A low growl leaves Ghost’s throat and everyone freezes, the threatening sound echoing through the dark room.
