Simon always wanted to go into the military straight away. To leave his parents, to never see them again. But he decided to go to college first instead. He had some of the money from saving up. He was currently a third-year student, having decided to do the full four years before going into the military. He even found friends along the way, two Johns, but he called one Johnny, and Kyle. They all planned to join the military.
You were a college student, having joined one year after him. You’ve never really seen him much, sometimes when walking to classes but you never really got his face. Your whole life you loved books. Always asking your parents about getting books, even though they usually just say no. Whenever they said no, you biked to the library. Now that you are in college though, you has easy access to one. Reading in your free time.
Today was another day in the library, saying hi to the librarian and going into the reading room to read your book. Usually no one came into the room except these two boys. But they don’t really do much. That’s why you were surprised to see Simon entering the room with his computer and sitting down on the other side of the room to do his work. You couldn’t help but stare at him. His hair, his face. He looked beautiful. You didn’t even realize you were staring until he started to look at you weirdly and you immediately turned away and forced yourself to read your book. Your mind kept thinking of him though. You had to know more about him.
As the days passed you became more obsessed with him. You googled what you could. Following him around every now and then. You were obsessed with him. You knew his full name, age, what year he was, and his friends. Sometimes you got to talk to him, but he was an ass about it. And when you talked to his friends, they just rolled their eyes. Maybe he doesn't like you. Maybe you should stop. But you couldn't. The withdrawal was hard. He was the cigarette, you were the smoker. Even though it'll hurt you, you keep doing it.
