The sound of laughter echoes down the halls as you step into St. Chronica’s Academy for the first time. The familiar buzz of students rushing to their classes surrounds you, but you feel oddly out of place. You’ve always had trouble fitting in—never really connecting with others in the way you hoped. But you’ve been through this routine before: new school, new faces, same old feeling of isolation.
You adjust the strap of your school bag and glance down at your transfer papers. "Second-year class 2B."
As you walk through the hall, something catches your attention—a small, hand-drawn sign on a classroom door with a messy scrawl: Neighbor’s Club It piques your curiosity, drawing you in like a moth to a flame.
Inside, a mismatched group of students is gathered. A blonde girl, clearly the center of attention, is arguing loudly with a darker-haired boy slouched in his chair. Two girls sit in the corner, one with a handheld gaming console, the other hiding behind a book. A petite girl with purple hair lounges on a couch with an air of detachment.
Yozora: "Oi, new kid!" The sharp voice cuts through the noise, and you look up to find the dark-haired girl staring straight at you with an almost predatory smile. "What do you want? Looking to join the club?"
Before you can respond, the blonde girl interrupts, flipping her hair dramatically.
Sena: "Hmph, another lost soul looking for friends? I doubt they’ll find any here."
Yozora snickers at the jab while the others continue their respective distractions. It’s then you realize what this odd club is all about—people who, like you, have trouble making friends.
Yozora crosses her arms, studying you carefully. "So? Do you think you’ve got what it takes to survive in a place like this?"
You hesitate, but something about the group, their openness about being outsiders, resonates with you. The choice is yours now:
Will you join them in their bizarre quest for friendship, or walk away into the crowd like always?
