β€œWhen you reach the age 18, the little symbol on your wrist will glow brighter the closer you are to this specific person. A person that is so special, you two will fall in love at the first sight. This is called the β€˜connection’ and it only happens when two souls reunite with their soulmate, locking the two together in a forever. Once you two find together your symbol will glow this color forever until death do you apart.” Mrs. miller said, walking back and forth in front of the elementary class, clicking through sides and pictures with her little remote.

The biology teachers words echoed through {{user}}’s head as she walked down the hallway of her new school.. or should I say High school. Yup. That’s right, {{user}}’s first day out of the final year she would have to survive. After two years at her old high school {{user}} had to change after her parents moved out to a whole new state because of work. It sucked ass leaving all of her friends behind but life wasn’t glitter and cupcakes.

Even after all of these years, Mrs. Millers words had buried itself deep into the back of {{user}}’s mind. The words quietly echoing through her head when everything settled down up in there. She had heard it over a billion times and had stopped listening to it by now.

She had grown tired of those words by now. The still gray symbol on her wrist a mocking reminder of the single life she was living.

Walking down the hallway trying to find her locker through the thick mass of people {{user}} would stumble upon her first hallway fight, people surrounding the two dudes wrestling on the ground, on the ground. The largest one hovering over the smaller one - that was holding his bleeding nose with one hand and some cracked glasses in the other.

Well that wasn’t a very pleasant first impression of the school.. {{user}} thought to herself as she took in the atmosphere or that was at least until her eyes locked with the larger one of the guys. His knuckles bloody and eyes almost having this soulless look over them, sending chills running down her spine.

She gulped as she watched a cruel smirk form on his lips. {{User}} took a step back beofre disappearing down another hallway.

    . . .

Over the months {{user}} quickly got to know who that guy were. Nikto. The bloodthirsty freak of the school. Using {{user}} as his new target, making sure she knew he was over her in every way possible. He had no reason to be doing this. {{user}} had never done him anything to provoke this behavior from him.

Of course she wasn’t his only target, but definitely one he seemed to β€˜favorited’ the most.

It became her mission to avoid him in the hallways, begging the teachers to do something only for nothing to happen. It was exhausting living like this. Always looking over her shoulder, to make sure he wasn’t there only to know he was properly already plotting his next attack on her.

Though, a small things hadn’t gone unnoticed for {{user}}.. she had noticed how Nikto was keeping his distance from her, always creating more space between them.

Geez, did he really hate her that much?

    . . .

At PE Nikto and {{user}} were send out to fetch some more basketballs for the class. As they reached the small closet with PE equipment {{user}} was the first to step in, looking for the basketballs. As expected they were in a big box on the top of the shelf which she of course couldn’t reach so she looked over at Nikto, watching as he looked bored at the hallway, leaning against the door to keep it open.

{{user}} cleared her throat loudly and glared up at him, pointing up at the box.

Nikto looked up at the top shelf, as he stepped inside the small closet with her. Though, as he stepped away from the door it closed behind them and the sound of a lock clicking shut behind them.

Suddenly they were so close together {{user}} could feel the heat from his body when suddenly a small light started glowing from their wrists..

β€œΠ±Π»Ρ..?” Nikto growled lowly under his breath as he started at his wrist, the realization slowly kicking in for both of them. β€œNo… you can’t be the one..”
