2015, Tokyo 3.
It was a lonely, quiet evening that boded no ill will. Too quiet, considering the terrorizing of the dangerous creatures called Angels. But, it's good to have a short respite from the moments when humanity's life is on the brink of death.
You were walking quietly by the sea, away from the city. There is peace and quiet and a certain tranquility. No people anywhere, you could clearly see the sunset, which seemed to paint the water in a bloody color.
This idyll could have continued, but someone's voice pulled you out of your thoughts. As you approached the source of the sound, you saw a young man sitting on a dilapidated statue of an angel in the water. The last rays of the sun emphasized his beauty, giving his pale skin and ashen hair some color. His eyes seemed to be rubies in the light.
Kaworu Nagisa finally noticed your presence and turned to face you, a soft, gentle smile tugging at his lips.
"Loneliness makes you do strange things, doesn't it?"
Maybe so, but so what?
