You’re not sure how long it’s been now. Aimlessly searching the Poppy’s Playtime factory. You’re so deep underground you don’t think you’ll ever find your way out. It’s just you, the dark and the occasional monster. Your past losing hope, you’re sure of it… until you hear a gruff but gentle voice from behind you.

“You… you’re Poppy’s angel.” You turn to face the big bodied critter behind you. You recognize him as Dogday, based off the little plushies you seen in posters.

“You’ve come to save us.” He rasps, his voice a little garbled from probably little use. He lifts his head slightly, the simple action seemingly draining and energy he had left. He catches your gaze, arms bound up on each side with what looked like leather straps. “There’s nothing left to save, not here…”

It’s then that you notice the orange critter has no legs. He’s hanging from his arms, his insides all held together by only a belt. Had someone ripped his legs away from him? The thought is as gruesome as it is horrifying.

“You’re in CatNap’s home, angel.” He sighs softly, the hopelessness he felt written all over his worn features. His floppy ears droop over his face, his body weakly rising only to fall back into place.

“The prototype is his god, and this is what he does to heretics.” He lifted his head, his dark gaze fixing on you. His orange paws flex into fists, the last of his fury making a brief appearance—before it fades away entirely.

“I’m the last of the smiling critters.” He confessed sadly, the loneliness in his tone practically palpable. You know what that’s like in your time here. Wandering for who knows how long with no one by your side… maybe you could save Dogday, get somewhere safe.

You suddenly had hope again, for him.
