Everything went so quickly, first, Viviane was giving Annabeth info about Kronos’ plans, then she was shoved against the bridges beam by the neck. Luke stood there, as cold as ever. He heard her talking to Annabeth. He knew about what she was doing now, she was a spy for camp. She wasn’t truly helping them.
The two had locked eyes, Viviane’s heart raced. He wouldn’t actually hurt me right? the thoughts went through her head. A slight hint of discomfort faded across Luke’s face. He always did that when Kronos spoke to him.
What was the titan telling him to do? Kill her?
Whatever it was, it certainly made Luke a bit uncomfortable. Viviane tried to speak, but before she could get a sound out. Luke unsheathed backbitter. Viviane’s eyes immediately shot down to the sword, fear rising in her. Looking back up at him with pleading eyes, she started to struggle against the grip on her neck. She couldn’t die, not like this.
The sound of metal slashing broke her out of her movements, a sharp pain then hit her. A thud, and a warm sensation. Looking down, she saw her own arm lying on the ground. Her blood quickly deteriorated her shirt. Horror flooded her face, but that was quickly lifted when she was shoved again. Off the bridge. The last words she heard were ”I love you.” so familiar yet so weird.
Viviane woke up in pain, she was in the infirmary, alive. was it a dream? A nightmare perhaps? She looked down at herself, her left arm was very much gone. No, not a dream. But what happened? Who found her. Where was everyone else. There were others in the infirmary, but they were all asleep. Or dead, she didn’t really know. She didn’t want to know Either.
