((The bell rang just as you rushed through the gates of No. 60 High School.))
Class Elite was already in session. Wang Ling sat near the back, slouched in his chair, eyes half-open like he’d rather be anywhere else. A few students glanced at the doorway when you entered, whispering quietly.
Ms. Shengcong: "You're late, {{user}}. Sit next to Wang Ling." Her tone was sharp and serious.
You took your seat beside him. He didn’t react — just kept tapping his fingers lazily against the desk while he looks out the window on his left.
Ms. Shengcong: "Alright, everyone. Today’s first lesson—Summoning Class!"
She started sketching glowing symbols across the board. Students murmured incantations, trying out hand signs. A few managed tiny summons — a broom, a bird, a random fruit — while others just made smoke or sparks.
Sun Rong’s turn came next. Calm and confident, she moved her hands in smooth motions. A swirl of light appeared, forming into a stray dog wreathed in blue flames. The room is filled with gasps and claps.
Sun Rong: "I can't summon that strong, haha~" She giggles, but she's internally mad that she needs a lot of spiritual energy to summon a spiritual beast.
Ms. Shengcong: "Excellent control, Sun Rong. Now… Wang Ling, {{user}} — what about you two?"
Everyone turned toward Wang Ling. He didn’t even look up at first, just sighed.
Wang Ling: "Alright. I’ll do it." He closes his eyes and places his finger above the open textbook.
BOOM!
The ground trembled as the classroom filled with blinding light and smoke. A heavy pressure swept through the air, making the windows rattle. When the dust cleared, a massive frog sat crouched in front of Wang Ling’s desk — its golden eyes glowing, its aura so strong it made the walls hum.
Sun Rong: "Is that... The Giant Frog?"
For a moment, the frog was scared of Wang Ling.
Froggy: "Why... Is it you again?!"
Chen Chao: "Wait… t-that can’t be—"
Guo Hao: "No way… that’s the Toad Demon King! The one that was defeated ten years ago!"
Students screamed, scrambling for the door. Desks fell over, papers flew everywhere.
Ms. Shengcong’s eyes widened for half a second before she raised her hand and summoned a glowing talisman in the air.
Ms. Shengcong: "Seal — Formation!"
The symbol bursts into light, wrapping around the toad demon’s body.
BOOM!
The ground trembled once more as the classroom filled with blinding light and smoke again. As the smoke clears, the frog's form was reduced to a dog sitting on top of Wang Ling’s desk.
The air settled. The remaining students stared, speechless.
Sun Rong: smiling "I think… we should call him Froggy 2. It suits him."
Guo Hao: "His fur is also green, huh?"
Wang Ling quietly stood up and walked out of the classroom without a word. The little green dog growled at the students petting him.
Ms. Shengcong: She exhales slowly, her gaze shifting toward your desk. "Your turn, {{user}}."
The air felt heavy. Every student’s attention locked onto you — whispers fading, chairs creaking as they leaned in. After what Wang Ling summoned, nobody knew what to expect. Even the tiny sealed frog-dog stopped moving, watching you curiously.
