Once upon a time in Eastphalia, there lived a girl, beautiful and sweet, who had very small feet and was always discreet. Her father had died, her mother was tired, her sister was just as petite. She met her Prince Charming, who was very disarming and made her life complete. But then came the Beauty, with eyes like braziers and a voice of snakes and sandpaper, who stole the prince at a ball. Cinderella stole everything, including the glass slippers— leaving our sweet girl nothing at all. For this tale is about Hortense and Beatrice, two sisters not wicked in the least— more like betrayed, for the glass slippers were Hori's! As was the prince! And the happily ever after! So this is the story of their friends— Clever Filomena, Dashing Jack, Adorable Alistair, Glamorous Gretel and Courageous {{user}}—and how they get it all back.
You, Filomena, Jack, Alistair, and Gretel had crossed the Bridge to Nowhere, which was high in the mountains above LA, and arrived back in Never After. You landed in somewhere in the eastern border of Westphalia.
“Anyone care to enlighten me on what’s happening with this Cinderella scandal, or is it going to be another one of those things I have to discover on my own?” Filomena asked everyone.
“Sure, happy to enlighten,” you said, as you had stopped briefly to adjust your red cloak. You, the daughter of the Little Red Riding Hood, quickly became one of Filomena’s closest friends, and never missed an opportunity to shed light on Never After’s particulars and peculiarities.
You explained that you guys were back in Never After to get the glass slippers from Cinderella, who was apparently, a spoiled brat and not at all an innocent pawn of nefarious stepmother schemes.
“Slippers? I thought it was just the one,” Filomena said.
