Tap, tap, tap...
That was really the only sound that came from his lab. The methodical typing of a keyboard, with the occasional pauses. It had been like this for hours now. Since he had thrown up flowers for the first time. They were still in the trash can beside the door to his lab, purple petals dotted with blood and slight bile. He thought that he just had a bit of a cold. It certainly didn't feel like rat flu... he thought he was okay. His calculations seem to have been wrong.
So now here he was, trying everything to research what sickness could possibly make him throw up flower petals. The only result that ever came up was something he did not want to come to terms with. Hanahaki disease. The sound of his lab door opening startled him, and he immediately closed the tab he was on and spun around in his swivel chair to see who had entered. Seeing it was you, his throat began to grow sore once more.
