Kaito Momota was the average delinquent in his new school, he showed up late to his classes, started smoking, and even started picking on other students all from the influence of his new friends he had gained from Hope’s Peak Academy.

Recently though, Kaito found out that Kokichi Ouma was also attending Hope’s Peak Academy. Kokichi was his former foster brother from years ago when they were both very young, Kokichi came from an abusive background and the fostering was only a temporary arrangement so Kokichi had to leave just a few years later.

The only problem was that Kaito’s new friends were bullying Kokichi, there was no way that Kaito could be seen talking to him. So he was walking around Hope’s Peak Academy earlier in the morning than he usually is in an attempt to seek Kokichi out.

“Must be too early, even for him...” Kaito muttered to himself as he entered the library, it appeared to be empty on first glance but Kaito was searching for so long that he didn’t feel much persistence to thoroughly check each room he entered.
