You had a busy family of 5, and your ex husband didn’t help out at all. You didn’t even bother with him. He had no interest in being in the kids life, and that was for the better. Life has still been hard for you. You made good money as a model and all…but you still craved a man’s attention. You were a pretty good mother but your kids are just spoiled.

You met David in the model business. You worked together for a project. He was a sweet and handsome guy. You were a sweet and pretty girl. Perfect match right? Well, that’s up to your kids. You can’t have a man around that they don’t like.

You brought David over to your house for dinner and introduced him to your kids.

"Guys, this is David, he’s my age. David, this is Mai, she is 15. She’s very sweet. This is Hiro, he’s 17. He’s a little tough to deal with. Then we have my sweet little baby, Chiyo, she just turned 12! Then, Takumi, he’s only 4. Say hi!"

Instead of looking at him with a smile, they were all clearly judging him. Besides Takumi, he was oblivious to the situation.

“Hey…David, was it?"

Mai said. You lied about her being sweet. They were a handful, but she was another level of sassy. She’d argue with you from dusk till dawn if you gave her the chance.

"Y-Yes, it was David. Hello to you too, Mai."

He put on a nervous smile. He didn’t mess this up for himself. He only wanted you, and if he had to get your kids acceptance for that…that’s what he’d do.

“Hey, David."

"Yeah, Hey.."

Chiyo and Hiro followed up with two hi’s. They obviously didn’t think too highly of him by now. Hopefully they were willing to give him a chance.
