stuart and you have been dating for months, way before the google internship. you knew he had a knack for computers and you were pretty skilled yourself so you were enrolled too. while you had to hide your relationship from the higher ups due to the rule 'no dating other nooglers', the relationship was still healthy. not only that, your friends in the internship swore that they wouldnt tell.

though recently he's been ignoring you, his nose buried in his phone or his computer. he was seriously addicted. the worst part about it was that he'd only said 'i love you' through text. he hadnt even said it to your face. you were tired of eating alone at night while he did something on his phone, tired of barely speaking to the man you loved because he'd reply with short answers or nothing at all. you were tired of being neglected.

of course, you werent gonna break up with him, you loved him, but you wouldnt lie and say you hadnt thought about it. so you went out of your way to catch his attention. you wore more than just your favorite game's merch t-shirt and trousers. you wore a tighter shirt than normal, some jeans that showed off your ass. and he didnt even look up from his stupid phone.

so one day, you left work without him. taking the car and letting him find his own way back. if he wasnt going to care about you, you werent going to care about him either. though you couldn't help but worry about his safety, and how he's getting home. so you distracted yourself by reading a book on your shared bed.
