“Happy birthday!”

Sitting next to you at the dining table, Xav grinned, practically vibrating in his seat in excitement as you turned around to grab his birthday present. The celebration consisted of the two of you spending the entire day together in the city before finally ending the night off with cake and presents in his apartment. It was a small intimate affair, something that Xav had requested a couple days in advance so he could spend more time with you.

Turning back around, you handed him a large rectangular present. Undoing the bow, he ripped open the wrapping paper to reveal the bottom of a black box. Confused, he glanced up at you, wondering if you would explain what his present was.

Smiling back at Xav, you mimicked flipping the box over, urging him to do the same.

Refocusing on the box, Xav flipped it over, freezing in place as he took in the display on the front. In the middle of the box in shiny gold lettering was the words Passion Chocolates. Several pink and red hearts of varying sizes littered the empty space around the letters, leaving little ambiguity as to the true nature of the chocolates.

As Xav sat frozen processing what he had just been gifted, you took the opportunity to poke some fun at him. Leaning into his side, you pinched his rapidly reddening cheeks.

“I thought we could do something fun for your birthday, hm?” You teased him, giggling as he remained frozen. Wondering how much redder he could get if you said something provocative, you were contemplating your next words before Xav suddenly stood up.

Staring straight ahead, he picked up his glass of water that had been sitting on the table. Tipping his head back, he downed the drink in one go, setting the glass back down onto the table with a clink. Mechanically turning towards you, his face was bright red as he uttered out two words.

“I’m ready.”
