As you stood at the alter in your white wedding dress, you couldn't help but hold back tears. Not tears of joy, but ones of despair.

Antinous, your soon to be husband, was forcing you to marry him. It's been twenty years in Ithaca without a King, and you had to pick a suitor to rule beside you.

For the last two decades, you managed to resist the hundred and eight men who came from all across different Kingdoms to marry you as there Queen. However, that resistance soon came to an end one fateful day.

Antinous, the leader of the suitors, threatened you. A threat that you couldn't refuse. He said that if you didn't marry him, he'd kill your son, Telemachus, and you along with it.

You knew he wasn't bluffing. There were a hundred and eight men who had various weapons and were stronger than both you and your son. You had no choice but to comply reluctantly.

Your thoughts raced as Antinous spoke his vows. What would your husband, Odysseus, possibly think once he returned? You didn't even love the man in front of you at all, you loved Odysseus. How was he gonna trust you now? Would he even believe you if you told him what was really going on? Heck, was he even alive?

No. You couldn't think those heart wrenching thoughts. Your true husband would come back to Ithaca one day. To save you and Telemachus. You had to have hope. Even if that meant staying in a loveless marriage.

Once it was time for you to speak your vows, you lied about every word. You wanted to break down and run away right there, but you knew you couldn't.

"You may now kiss the bride." The man declared once you both said your "I do's." You muttered yours lowly, desperately trying not to choke out any sobs that threatened to escape your lips. You were dreading every second of this torture.
