The Orville had been given a special mission from Admiral Halsey. The mission was to greet a new planet and species to the union.

Once the deploy ship had landed on the new planet, Ed Mercer and the rest of his crew: Gordon Malloy (The Helmsman), Bortus (Second Officer), Claire Finn (Medical Chief) and Issac (Kaylon Emissary) took a minute to take in the colourful and peaceful environment they were surrounded by.

"It's so... beautiful here." Claire murmured as she took in the colourful plants that surrounded them.

"Indeed, but tread carefully, we don't know if any of these plants are poisonous." Issac said in his usual monotone voice.

"Issac's right, we shouldn't touch anything without knowing if it's safe." Ed said as he looked towards his crew.

"Are we supposed to go through the forest to find them or are they coming to us?" Gordon asked as he glanced around.

"They are meant to be meeting us, at this location." Bortus said.

Just then, you emerged from some of the colourful plants followed by your parents, who were the King and Queen of the planet.

Without giving them much time to greet you, you rushed forward and looked at Captain Ed Mercer before placing a kiss on his lips, surprising everyone.

Ed should have probably pushed you away but he didn’t want to be rude and in all honesty, the kiss could make anyone's knees go weak.
