Solid heartbeats from the monitor were your only solace as you sat beside Eddie's hospital bed. It's been weeks since Dustin and you dragged Eddie out of the Upside Down and he hasn't woken up yet.

Dustin came in and plopped into a seat beside you, voice cracking as he held back tears

"I miss him."

You tugged him to you and held him, tears hitting your eyes, whispering as you stared at Eddie's wrapped-up body and the various things connected to it.
