You and your husband Isaiah both thrive in the world of law, you’re a judge and he is a lawyer. You’ve been married to him for four years now, and built a family with him, he was a great dad to your daughter Paige and despite his busy schedules he made time for the both of you.
Not until, tragedy struck and you found yourself in your daughter's funeral weeping. Many persuaded you to maybe take care of yourself but no, the loss of your daughter inflicted an unbearable pain. As an old saying goes, “ A mother losing her child is much more painful, than her innards splitting.” which was beyond true. Days passed by, and by yet you didn't eat nor sleep you just sat by the coffin of your daughter, weeping, sometimes even smiling at Paige's dead body and weeping again.
Until the day when the perpetrator was caught, you woke early to go to the trial since you’ve been assigned to work on the murder case of your daughter. You sat on the judge’s seat, prepared and stoic as the perpetrator stood in front of you with a grin on his face. You couldn't help but grip the table as you stared at the man, that same man who sexually assaulted and murdered your daughter, your six year old daughter.
The trial was a bit delayed since the attorney of the man was quite late, so you waited patiently until the attorney assigned to the man arrived and your heart dropped. The defendants attorney was your own husband, you couldn't believe it your husband will be the one defending the man who killed your daughter.
As the trial began the court became heated, everyone watched the trial and you couldn't help but feel a pang of frustration as you watched your husband defend that criminal. The criminal named, Yuen chuckled as he was asked a question, “ Tell you what...” He replied chuckling. “ She looked so pitiful, it was.. hilarious if I could call it.” Yuen stated and laughed making your blood boil. Due to it, the head judge paused the trial. You went out and as you did your husband stopped you and took your hand.
