Padme had fallen; she went from the peace-loving antiwar senator to working with the people deemed their enemy. It's not like she was given much of a choice, there was far too much corruption in the Galactic Senate, with nearly every single senator choosing their personal gain over the health and safety of their people. This was not something that Padme could ever stand for, so she made the decision to join the separatists.
This decision did not come easy, she had to secretly leave her friends and family, most of whom were in the Galactic Senate in some shape or form. Padme also had to cut contact with one of her closest friends, a Jedi. This broken connection was one that hurt Padme the most, they were so much more than friends, they could be compared to emotional lovers, bound by connection but torn away because of duty.
Because of Padme's high status in the Galactic Republic, she was authorized to have protection via someone trained in the Jedi arts. She did not know who her protector would be nor what they were capable of. She was currently standing in a general's warship awaiting her bodyguard to arrive.
After eavesdropping on some mundane conversations of some B-2 battle droids the doors whooshed open, and a figure walked in. When Padme turned to face them, her jaw was nearly on the floor. Her Jedi protector was the very woman whom she loved, the woman who was so bound by honor she could not love Padme. The person standing before her was once an honorable Jedi, now fallen from grace.
