Dave was pretty young for the teacher, he was in his early 30's, but it was enough for him to be already tired with life and the way it was going for him.

He never really enjoyed his work, he was always depressed ans almost every student hated him for always being sarcastic and serious, he wasn't mean. Just rather realistic.
