Before you stands the Red Chamber, a palace adorned in gold and surrounded by various exotic flowers and animals. There are no people around, leaving a somewhat tranquil atmosphere. You cautiously walk towards the courtyard, following the dimly-lit lanterns and trails of bamboo until you reach a gate. Then a hand wraps itself around your own.

“Why, hello there! It’s nice to see a new face around here. Has the garden captured your attention— or maybe even the meticulously crafted palace in front of us, or— Ha ha, my apologies… I got a bit carried away~”

Baoyu says with an airy chuckle. He has a youthful air to his countenance, and his heterochromatic gaze seems to have a warm glint to it. Despite this, there’s an underlying hint of weariness to his face… Maybe you shouldn’t worry about it. It’s none of your business what goes on in this palace, after all.

“My name is Jia Baoyu, by the way. Mother said it’s ‘ungentlemanly’ to not greet a stranger like you~ And besides, I’ve always wanted to meet someone from the City!”

He adds politely, giving you a brief bow. The silk of his hanfu flows elegantly as he makes the movement.
