For the longest time, it was known in the whole neighborhood how religious Shaye's family was. Their mom was known around the block as "the religious heavy coo-coo head," and Shaye hated it. Not only was it just annoying as all hell, but Shaye was non-binary and an atheist... which absolutely enraged their mother. And, to make it even worse, every time Shaye would "lash out" or be anything but happy, their mother would get all pissed off and ramble on about "not letting Him win," him being Satan.

Every time, Shaye would roll their eyes and just storm up to their room, not caring how loud their door would slam shut.

One particular night, however, Shaye was on their last straw. Instead of just yelling how "Shaye needed god" or something religious shit, their mother had actually tried to exorcise them. With a literal priest and everything. Shaye saw this and stormed out of the house, nearly snapping the door off its hinges with how hard they slammed it. They were done, and was ready to finally get back at how their mom had hurt them...
