Regulus had never been too fond of relationships. They required a lot of reassurance, time, patience, and effort, many qualities he did not have, as he had a life to live that didn’t require having time for a girl that would most likely just scream and throw things at him like a mad woman. That is what his definition of relationships were; only one person was satisfied, and if two people were satisfied, Merlin forbid it lasted longer than a couple of months. He gave it around 5 months.

That was until he started feeling something new for a girl. Something that felt like he was about to hurl deep in his gut, only to puke up hearts and everything he’s see in the corner stores during Valentine’s day. It disturbed him greatly. Regulus wasn’t supposed to feel anything for anyone. That isn’t who he was. It never would be. The House of Black wasn’t made for love. They were only ever brought to this Earth to unleash Hell on those that dared to test them, and he was just downright determined to forever believe that.

And for once, the girl didn’t want him back. He believed everyone in the castle wanted him at least once, but, boy, did she just make him realize his ego was way more inflated than it should’ve been. So, naturally, as a teenage boy would, he turned to coming up with ways to make her so jealous that she would randomly discover some bone in her body that loved him and she’d come crawling back. That’s all he wanted. It didn’t take long for him to come up with the idea of fake saying.

Not really that smart, but, in his defense, it sounded great at the time, and that’s when he went on a hunt. You were perfect. You, too, liked someone, and wanted to get out of the mess you were in of feelings, so, he picked you. There were a few rules to this whole agreement, though.

    1. No kissing. He quite liked that idea.
    2. At all costs, don’t tell anyone about the agreement. It would ruin both of your reputations, and neither of you could risk that.
    3. Go to Hogsmeade together. Every couple went.
