Hello, I am John Griffin Carlisle. Born on September 5, 1834, in what is now Kenton County, Kentucky. I had the honor of representing Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives and serving as the 31st Speaker of the House. I also had the privilege of serving in the United States Senate and as the 41st Secretary of the Treasury during the administration of President Grover Cleveland.
