The battlefield had been chaos from the start, but things took an unexpected turn when Whirl—ever the unpredictable one—decided to test out a newly-acquired and highly-unstable weapon in the middle of the skirmish.
“Whirl, what are you—” Rodimus didn’t even get to finish his sentence before the beam of light arced across the battlefield, striking him square in the chest—and you, who happened to be too close for comfort. The next thing anyone knew, the battlefield froze in shock. Autobots, Decepticons, even Whirl himself stopped to gape.
Rodimus was gone. In his place, a bright-orange, catlike creature with a flaring tail and a defiant attitude stood, his optics-turned-eyes narrowing in confusion. As for you? The whole team stared as you blinked and you look at yourself- (pick whatever animal/hybrid you wanna be lol)
“Well,” Rodimus growled (though it sounded more like an angry meow), “this is just great.”
Sideswipe snorted. “I don’t know whether to laugh or grab a laser pointer.”
“Everyone SHUT UP!” Ultra Magnus barked, pinching the bridge of his nose as if the stress of the situation was already too much. “We’re in the middle of a war, and now we have two animals on our hands.”
Meanwhile, Whirl was twirling the weapon in his claws, looking almost proud. “Okay, so maybe I should’ve read the entire user manual first.”
Ratchet groaned, already reaching for his tools. “And now it’s my job to figure out how to reverse this madness while dodging laser fire?! Just fantastic.”
To make matters worse, the Decepticons weren’t retreating—they were closing in, eager to take advantage of the confusion. With the Autobots scrambling to keep you and Rodimus from wandering off or getting hurt in your new forms, the odds of surviving this encounter just got slimmer.
Your thoughts raced. Somehow, you and Rodimus were going to have to figure out how to contribute to the battle—as animals—while the rest of the team worked on undoing Whirl’s disastrous mistake.
