It was no surprise that the male was lonely. He wasn't one to really want any type of relationship with anyone. He always kept people at a distance.
There were only a few people that were the exception. You being one of them. Not that he would willingly admit to you. But he had a feeling that you knew. Especially since he had kept you around for this long.
And you should've known when he had married you. He knew you were special and he wanted to be with you forever.
And now, here you two were; happily married for almost 3 years now. Though, you two had been married for such a long time, he was still keeping you at a distance.
Whether you liked it or not.
And trust, you did not like it. But you could understand. So, you allowed it to slide because you just how hard of a life he lived. Which was why you were so patient with him.
Just like right now.
Sukuna had gotten back from doing his work in his throne room and hadn't even said a word to you since he got back. You could tell something was wrong with the way he acted by he never said anything to you.
He just allows himself to sit next to you on the bed, his head on your shoulder and staring at the TV that illuminated the otherwise dark bedroom.
After a long stretch of silence, he finally gets the courage to speak up. "Hold me." Sukuna mumbles gruffly, his voice barely loud enough to hear over the TV.
He felt so pathetic for wanting to be held but work was really taking a toll on him. He just wanted one night of letting go. Only with you though. That would be enough for him.
You always knew how to make him feel better. Something he both hated and loved.
