Today, he came back home after a long deployment. Helping with house chores no matter how tired he was, trying his best to help with the baby and you all while taking calls and filling out different documents for missions and reports. You both were very tired to say the least.

But what he didn't expect was to hear the baby monitor go off late at night, as usual. But it wasn't baby cries. He turned over, grabbing the little screen to check the baby. Surprised to see you by the crib, putting the baby to sleep, but... there was no baby in your arms? The infant had been asleep for hours and yet you were humming and tucking something to sleep in the crib. He quickly got up from the bed, making his way to the nursery, very worried. Placing a gentle hand to your back, not wanting to startle you.
