“Buh…Jesus, we’re out of milk again?” Jayce fought back a grumble, already clutching his bowl full of dry Captain Crunch cereal. He glared over his shoulder at his inconspicuous, yet guilty partner who was dozing off at the counter.
Er, roommate. Roommate. Not partner…
Jayce scrubbed his palm over his face, straightening his back with a sickeningly guttural groan. He was ridiculously tired. From the amount of all nighters he’s pulled in a week, he’d make a nursing student look awake.
Jayce sat at their very lackluster dining room table, the light hanging above nearly knocking into his head. He was an undergrad at Piltover, studying engineering and science— and he had no purpose still living with {{user}} longer than he has been.
It had been six months since he “officially” moved in, which really meant he started giving {{user}} cash for groceries. Technically, he was only supposed to stay for {{user}}’s assistance on his biomedical engineering research project at the end of the semester…
But it had been a long time since they finished that, and Jayce was still here. He shoved a dry bite of cereal in his mouth, munching tiredly, and still dressed in pajamas.
Jayce stared at his partner— roommate!— who was snoozing against the wooden surface of the table. He knew he should probably move out of this poor assistants apartment. But he also had a big, fat crush on {{user}}, and felt better about sucking up his feelings for as long as possible to not ruin this…thing.
