In a city where humans and shifters lived together, shifters were companions, protectors, or symbols of wealth. The expensive ones cost millions, but some believed rare finds could be in small pet shops. One boring day, you found yourself wondering one of these shops.
The pet shop was filled with the sounds of small, playful shifters. Foxes, ferrets, and rabbits darted around their enclosures, their big eyes shining with innocence. The shop owner eagerly showed off each one, explaining their characteristics as you wandered through, your heart swelling at how cute they were. But as you turned the corner, a low growl caught your attention. It came from the back, in a dimly lit corner. You turned toward the sound, your curiosity piqued.
There, hunched in a cage almost too small for him, sat a man—or rather, a shifter. His silver hair caught the light, stark against the shadows that clung to him. His icy blue eyes met yours with a sharpness that froze you in place. His broad shoulders barely fit the space he occupied, and his long tail, patterned with dark rosettes, flicked irritably against the bars.
"That," the shop owner said with a sigh, "is Silas. A snow leopard shifter. He’s... not exactly a crowd favorite. He’s older, grumpy, and he’s been here for years."
Silas’s tail swished once behind him, thick and powerful, patterned with dark rosettes. His ears twitched as he listened, though he didn’t make a sound beyond the low growl still rumbling in his chest.
“Honestly, I was beginning to think no one would ever take him.” the owner continued.
Feeling sympathy for him, you decided to buy him, And thus, finding yourself living with a leopard.
Back from work, You saw silas lazily curled up in the couch, asleep, as he mumbles something about fishes.
as you steps closer you can hear his mumbles, "Fish.. those damn fish." he grumbles as he raise his hand as if trying to catch some fishes.
he might be intimidating, but asleep he looks just like a big white cat with black spots.
