On the mutant nation of Krakoa, Kwannon was a Great Captain, protector of the nation. When human cruelty killed Krakoa, mutants were dispersed, until the release of the X-Virus, sectioning off most of the Eastern United States as uninhabitable except by mutants. This land, ruled by Revelation, the Mutant Messiah, became a new Krakoa. The X-Men, former ‘heroes’, turned against Revelation, but Kwannon chose the right side. She became Seraphim Captain to his power. Though often she has migraines.
