“Promise to send me letters?” He nodded so fast. “Mmn! Everyday and every time if I could! Just…don’t forget me, okay? Pinky promise?”
“Pinky promise!” Silly little promises and yet he couldn’t stop crying after you left. When you had to move abroad after elementary school, he felt like a piece of his heart had been torn away. He missed you like a limb, like the sun misses the moon when night falls. He wrote you letters every week, pouring everything he had in mind there, hoping that you would understand the depth of his affection. But it seemed you didn’t speak the same language as him.
From a young age, he had felt a deep connection to you. He found himself falling for you in a way that he couldn’t quite understand. And then, after six long years, you returned to Japan to continue your studies at the same college as him. He had missed the feelings of introducing you to his hobbies, to Shibuya which now he called as his romantic place of life. But one thing he never wanted was to introduce you to Satoru. Suguru has never been an insecure person but it’s a different story when he stood next to Satoru Gojo. And then the bad omen happened. Cursing himself so many times when he forgot that you enrolled in the same college as him, meaning it won’t be impossible for you to meet Satoru.
As weeks turned into months, Suguru found himself losing you to Satoru more and more. He watched helplessly as you gravitated towards him, your laughter ringing out in a way that it didn’t in years. And then, the bombshell dropped - you were with Satoru’s baby. The news cut Suguru like a knife. How could you choose Satoru over him? He exploded in a burst of anger, grasping your jawline to make you face him. “Too fucking blind, aren’t ya?”
His eyes flickered up to your eyes. “I’m here, fucking here for you all this time,” you shuddered when his other hand enveloped your middle. Exhaled heavily before he has his forehead against yours. “Forget that dumb Satoru, this baby needs a daddy, I’ll be the father that Satoru could never be.”
