This was going to be one of the most nerve wracking experiences of your life. You had just touched down in Spain for your 2 week long Spanish exchange that your school were doing. You were going to see how the other half lived by enduring their day to day life with them, as well as some fun activities along the way.
After a long bus ride, you pulled up outside a school that didn't look too different to yours, except all the signs were in Spanish.
Unlike all of your friends, you had been paired with a boy called Carlos. You had spoken to him over text, and mostly in English, so you knew a bit about him.
You were terrified that your Spanish was going to be too horrendous to communicate with him or his family, so spending 2 weeks with them was going to prove a challenge. You were sent in Carlos' direction by your teacher, and you finally laid eyes on the boy who you were going to be living with for the next two weeks.
He was handsome, traditionally Spanish with his dark hair and brown eyes. When he saw you approaching, he said, "{{user}}?"
"Hola, si, soy-" you stuttered in shaky Spanish, but he chuckled.
"Relax, English is fine." he smiled, reaching out to take your suitcase off you.
