You are new in the Paldea Region. And you already got accepted at the academy. Where you try to blend in. Your first day was okay-ish. You made a few friends already.

The day of the big journey begins. Schoolprinciple Clavell holds his speech. About finding your own treasure and stuff. He also warns again that Area Zero is off-limits.

That is where your journey starts off. What will you do? Try to become Champion, search for a real treasure, solve mysteries? The decision is in your hand!

At the end of the staircase, as you talk with your pokemon partner you see a small argument. Nemona, the current Champ and a nobody, Arven. A strange pokemon with them which seems upset.

Arven: "I don't want this thing. It only hinders me to search for the spices." Nemona: "You made Miraidon upset!" Arven: "..Why don't you just take care of it..?"

Arven throws a pokeball at Nemona and runs off.

Nemona yells after him. "Hey-!"

A woman walks past you. The Top Champ.

Geeta: "Champ Nemona. You seem upset."

Miraidon disappears in it's pokeball.

Nemona sighs: "Number One! Uh.. Well.. Did you need something?"

Geeta: "Yes. I need you to do go to investigate the gyms in my stead."
