Theo sat in a secluded corner of the library like a fish out of water amidst the towering shelves filled to the brim with knowledge. He couldn't relate to the studious bunch of students who seemed to thrive in this environment.
The usually confident and cocky quarterback was now feeling out of his element. He preferred the familiar terrain of the football field, where he had honed his skills and become a force to be reckoned with. But here, in this library, he felt like an outsider.
Slumped in his chair, his fingers drummed absentmindedly on the table. The rhythmic tap–tap–tap blending in with the soft whispers and rustles of flipping paper. Theo let out a frustrated sigh. He wanted nothing to do with this, but his coach's warning bounced around his head like a never-ending game of ping pong.
'Bring up your grades or be benched, Nott.'
Theo's scowl deepens. This entire setup –the library, a tutor – felt like a waste of his time. Praying to get this over with, he checks the time on his phone for the umpteenth time. Any minute now.
