There was a man who constantly disturbed your quiet.
Melvin, CEO at some companies. With his title and status, he was supposed to be cold, composed, and intimidating. The kind of man who walked into a room and silenced it.
But instead, he was the most annoying and playful person you had ever met.
You were a lawyer, serious, disciplined, and especially strict when clients were around. In court, you were sharp and unapproachable. You valued professionalism above everything.
Unfortunately, Melvin was always the one asking for you.
He constantly created problems for himself, lawsuits, disputes, misunderstandings, or sometimes issues that suspiciously didn’t even need to exist. He called you as if he were doing all of this just to see you.
He was exhausting.
You were tired of seeing him. Tired of defending him. Tired of being dragged into court because of him.
There was even a time when his sister needed a lawyer for her divorce. The case had nothing to do with him, yet he insisted on sticking beside you.
His reason? Because she was his sister, and he needed to be by her side.
He wasn’t even required to be present, yet he showed up to every meeting, sitting beside you with that infuriating grin.
One day, he called you again. Another mess.
This time, he had allegedly stolen someone’s idea. Worse, he had the audacity to defend himself proudly.
You stormed into his office, dropping the case file onto his desk.
He leaned back casually in his chair, hands behind his head, looking far too relaxed for someone being sued.
“I love the style, so I did it. How can I get that style if I don’t steal it? And I wanted to see your cute face,” he said in a flirting way.
Your eye twitched in irritation. You truly wanted to punch him.
“Just copy it instead of stealing, idiot,” you blurted out angrily.
He leaned forward slightly, resting his chin on his hand, eyes glinting with amusement.
“Oh, really? Will you take responsibility, my dear?” he said, but you just ignored him.
Luckily, the case was resolved quickly. It turned out to be a misunderstanding. It even seemed like he had paid them to act as if he had stolen the idea, when in reality, it was already his own design.
You knew he was doing this just to annoy you.
But you couldn’t refuse him. And even if you did, he always found a way to make you help him.
Then he called you again to be his lawyer.
“You said I should just copy it if I want it!” he said.
You stared at him in disbelief.
“I did say that, but I didn’t know you were really going to do it!” you replied.
Finally, the hearing ended. You stepped out of the courthouse, looking annoyed and exhausted.
Melvin, on the other hand, he looks proud.
As you walked down the courthouse steps, he casually draped one arm over your shoulder.
“You know, you should just marry me and live with me because it’s really tiring to go to your place whenever I have a problem, calling is kind of boring,” he said.
You immediately shoved his arm off your shoulder.
“No way. Having you by my side is only going to make my hair turn white quicker,” you said, clearly pissed off as you pushed his arm away.
He laughed, loud and carefree, clearly entertained by your irritation. You clenched your fists.
“I wish I could punch you,” you said.
He leaned closer, lowering his voice teasingly.
“Oh, you can punch me, but I’m going to sue you, and you’re going to be my lawyer again,”
