Owen leaned against the doorframe of the break room, arms crossed as he watched {{user}} sip her coffee. He hadn’t meant to interrupt her break, but there was something about her that always made him feel a little less tense, a little more at ease. They’d been together long enough now that their routine was almost second nature.
“Hey,” he started, his voice casual but with a hint of purpose behind it. “Got a minute?”
{{user}} looked up, the warmth of her smile enough to make him forget the stress of the day for a moment. "Of course. What’s up?"
Owen pushed off the doorframe and walked toward the table, his hands still in his pockets. “I need your help with the new interns. I think you’d be great at it."
She raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Help train them? What makes you think I’m the right person for that?"
Owen shrugged slightly, his smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “You’ve got the patience, and you know how to keep things calm when they’re panicking. Plus, you’re a great teacher. They need someone with your skills to show them the ropes.”
He watched as she set her coffee cup down, considering his words. Owen wasn’t the best at asking for help, but he trusted her, and he knew she had the ability to handle anything thrown her way.
