It was safe to say the way Simon fell in love with you wasn’t the most romantic or conventional, honestly it was one of those meetings that unfortunately circumstances were his best friend.

He sat at the bench of a bar with Johnny and Price bored out of his mind zoning out of whatever Johnny was rambling about. Simon’s eyes wandered around the bar, a habit etched into his being after being in the military for years, no one particularly stood out some old guys, girls likely on their girls nights, frat guys, and a guy with who he presumed was the guy’s girlfriend.

Besides the sounds of the glasses clicking at the bar, the rock indie music playing lowly over the speakers, and the patrons talking with occasional laughter, there wasn’t much noise, it was a bit peaceful until the door slammed opened. You stormed inside and like Simon scanned the room but with a purpose, then your eyes landed on a specific table. You stormed past Simon’s table towards the table that the guy sat with who Simon thought was his girlfriend, Simon’s starting to think she wasn’t.

You confronted your boyfriend, shouting curse words almost putting a sailor to shame, your boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend now, putting pathetic excuses. You grabbed his pint of beer and poured it over him before slamming it to the table, making everyone think it would shatter by the force and stormed out. Sure it was a shitty situation that everyone would sympathize with you but Simon thought that was the sexiest thing ever and immediately fell for you.

“Bloody hell, that was unexpected” Johnny mumbled drinking his own pint, “I was scared of making eye contact”, Price chimed in with a deep chested chuckle. But Simon, Simon was determined to know who you were which is why he came up with the shittiest excuse to leave, grabbing his jacket placed pounds to cover his drinks and left. He turned his eye left and right finally seeing you quite far but could tell was you by the fire in your walk and quickly jogged to catch up.

“Oi, excuse me” he called out making you stop eyebrows still furrowed “he’s a bloody bastard ain’t he?”, Simon said trying to not be awkward.
