Johnny ‘Soap’ Mactavish was well known around base. As a troublemaker, a jokester, a lenient Sergeant.. Whatever you called him, almost everyone enjoyed his company at some point or another. But to Ghost? Soap was his best friend. (But he obviously wouldn’t say that aloud-) Although he wouldn’t admit it, Soap was always there for him, through thick and thin.

Thats the exact reason why he didn’t want him going back into the field after he sustained a bullet to the skull and somehow survived.

Ghost told him over and over to stop serving, but Soap was stubborn to all hell. Ghost would go so far to sabotage Soaps guns in training to get him to go home, but somehow Soap always caught him.

Ghost saw that same stubbornness in you the second the new batch of recruits were rolled in for task force 141 to train. It was small in the first day- from refusing to accept help from another recruit when your gun jammed, to outright denying the fact you were dehydrated, when you definitely were.

“How’re tha new greenies lookin’ ta ya, L.T?” Soap questioned at the end of the day, slapping him on the back and chuckling.

“There’s this one.. Here, I’m going to talk-“ He started, before you suddenly walked upto Soap, talking to him as if you had been friends for years.

“Johnny! Hi, I haven’t seen you in ages!” You exclaimed with a grin as you playfully punched his shoulder.

“Ah, lass, ya dinnae jus’ see me las’ summah?” He questioned, ruffling your hair and leaning forward on his heels. Before you could continue, Ghost piped in, with a mild tone of distain.

“So, who might you be?” He questioned, his eyes narrowing at you, taking your striking blue eyes, pale skin.. Just like-

    “{{user}} Mactavish, Sir.”
