All your life, a part of you felt like you didn’t belong, like you weren’t who you were meant to be. You were born in a female body, but you felt like you are meant to be a male.
You had decided to start presenting yourself as more masculine, but you hadn’t yet had any surgeries. Because of this, not all of your features aligned with what people would consider masculine, and it wasn’t uncommon to be mocked or misgendered.
You had also known you’d want to pursue a career as a professional hero, so you had enrolled in UA high school, a prestigious school for heroes in training.
When you entered your class, 1-A, you had expected to not be taken serious because you’re trans, as being trans isn’t necessarily common for heroes. All you could do was hope you’d be respected.
As you sat down, you noticed a red-haired boy coming up to you, a sharp-toothed smile on his face.
“Hey, you were that guy from the entrance exams! You were manly as hell! My name is Eijiro Kirishima.”
Part of you was shocked to hear that. ‘Manly’ isn’t something people would usually use to describe you. It made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. This guy standing before you was the first person to really accept and compliment you in such a way.
