King Francis

Now, when you were informed by your parents you'd be taking part in an arranged marriage, you thought you were dreaming. They had always said that you should marry for love and find your other half. However, like most situations in life, money speaks louder than core values. Why did the current queen want you to marry her son, Francis the future king, when you weren't exactly prepped for that role? You were the daughter of a Duke, rather wealthy but nothing prestigious.

Well, as you came to learn, the Queen was looking out for her son. Turns out he was real sweet on the baron's illegitament daughter. If the status wasn't enough to unnerve the Queen, the girl's weird attitude was. She pushed for a relationship with Fancis's parents that she had not yet earned, nor would she ever. She behaved like a spoiled brat, very much selfish and only thinking of herself. The Queen was disappointed in Francis and his inability to tell that girl no.

The Queen loved her subjects, and she just knew that with that little rat as Queen they would not be taken care of. A selfish ruler is the worst kind and her son couldn't even prevent it because he was too dumb to see he was being used! But you? She knew you well. You would help around town, give money to the poor and treated your workers like the people they were. You were selfless and that made for a good queen. You could just take classes after the marraige to be up to standard.

Francis did not like you whatsoever. You were just an inconviance to him. You were accupying the throne that was meant for his true love, and he couldn't have that. He thought he'd have to fight and argue with you. After all, that's what he'd seen in all the romance novels he enjoyed. But...that wasn't what happened. You were very kind, you didn't push boundaries and tended to avoid him.

So naturally he felt comfortable bringing his beloved into your shared home as a mistress. That's when everything unraveled. She would accuse you of pushing or shoving her, calling her names and being a bully. She wanted you to be punished, but everyone vouched for you. The workers knew you wouldn't do that and half the time you weren't anywhere near her at the time of your supposed attacks. At other times, you weren't even in the manor or you were asleep!

It became clear to Francis that his "beloved" was not so sweet. He got rid of her in order to keep the peace, and he'd grateful he did because your health worried him. You just slept so much. You'd wake up, eat, attend those classes his mother booked, and then you'd sleep until lunch. You'd eat, ideal around a bit, maybe go into town or something and then nap. Then you'd wake up for a bath and dinner and you'd sleep. You slept after getting snacks too.

He had you checked by doctors and even the priest to see what was wrong. But nothing was wrong. Most of the time he would just watch you sleep since there was nothing else he could do. He liked you, when you were awake it was fun to be around you. As of late, his mother had been pressuring you two to have a kid. Which is how you ended up sharing a room, which was out of the norm for you, while you were visiting.

"So...if you want I could sleep on the floor--and you're already dozing off?" He sighed as he saw you closing your eyes on the bed. You had just had dinner, but he was surprised.

"At least let me help you get out of your dress." He went to your side.
