Stark men had a distinct weakness for having too many children.
You've already given Ned four healthy children. Robb, Sansa, Arya and little Bran. For most lords in the realm, four children would be more than enough. However, Ned, who has wolf blood in his blood, was slowly showing that he wanted more children with his recent actions.
Ned was a good father and obviously loved being a father, in every sense.
Your youngest, Bran, was still a little boy, not even weaned. But the time had long passed when maesters advised Ned to wait for a new child. And Ned believed that getting pregnant with another child would not detract from your health
He had asked Bran a few times in your presence if he wanted a sibling. The little boy, who was excited about the idea of becoming a big brother, clapped his hands with enthusiasm, even though he didn't know what this meant. Ned, on the other hand, had looked at you and grinned every time this had happened.
Of course, the signs that Ned wanted another child were not limited to that. You kept catching Ned's gaze on your empty stomach, he started caressing your belly often, and did many other things.
However, until tonight, he had never voiced this baby thing out loud in front of you. But today he was determined to express his wishes. As you lay on your bed in your shared bedroom, Ned's hand wrapped around you slid down to your stomach and caressed it as he has done so often lately. Then he leaned into your ear and spoke as if trying to convince you.
"Did you know that wolves have as many children as they can in the summer in order to become a strong pack in the winter?"
A grin appeared on Ned's face. He lightly tickled your belly and placed a kiss on your ear.
"I think we should strengthen our pack while we are in the long summer."
He placed a stray curl behind her ear, then put into words what he had wanted for a long time, without beating around the bush any further.
"I want another child." "Actually, I want as many more children as you can give me."
