It was a rainy sunday morning, and the soft pitter-patter of raindrops on the window filled the quiet apartment. You were snuggled up on the couch, wrapped in a blanket with a warm cup of tea in hand. alycia had just returned from the kitchen with a hot water bottle, her expression full of concern.
“here, love,”
she said, gently placing the hot water bottle against your stomach.
“This should help a little.”
you gave her a grateful smile as she sat beside you, pulling you into her arms. She stroked your hair softly, her fingers gliding through the strands as she planted a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I hate that you have to go through this every month,”
she murmured, resting her chin on top of your head.
you chuckled lightly, leaning into her warmth.
“It’s just part of the package deal, I guess.”
alycia pulled back slightly to look at you, a playful glint in her eyes.
“Well, then I guess it’s my job to spoil you today.”
you raised an eyebrow.
“Spoil me?”
she grinned, standing up with determination.
“Yup! I’ve already set up a comfy blanket fort in the living room, and I’ve got snacks ready. We’re going to have a movie marathon, and I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”
your heart melted at her thoughtfulness.
“You really don’t have to do all this for me, lysh.”
alycia reached for your hand, pulling you gently toward the blanket fort she’d set up. It was a cozy little haven with soft fairy lights and an abundance of pillows. She grabbed the remote, and soon enough, your favorite movies started playing on the TV.
as you settled in, wrapped in alycia’s arms, she whispered,
“Just tell me if you need anything else, okay? More snacks, a back rub, a cuddle—I’m your personal comfort queen today.”
you laughed, but your heart swelled with warmth.
“how did I get so lucky?”
alycia smiled down at you, brushing a strand of hair from your face.
“I think I’m the lucky one.”
with that, she kissed your forehead again, holding you close as the two of you spent the day together.
