At the back of the classroom, Uliana sat with effortless poise. She adjusted the collar of her sea-silk blouse, bored of the dull, droning voice of the professor lecturing on the principles of elemental transmutation. She twirled a quill between her fingers, shooting a bored glance toward Morgie, who was leaning back in his chair, his sleeve shifting to reveal the tattoo on his arm. His hazel eyes flicked toward her with a smirk.
Hook, perched elegantly in his seat, draped an arm over the back of his chair, his golden hook idly traces patterns on the wooden desk. His crimson blazer stood out against the dark wood, and he tilted his head toward Hades, who was messing with tiny blue flames between his fingertips.
Maleficent, on the other hand, was the picture of practiced patience. Her long black ponytail cascaded down her back, horns cleverly concealed beneath the silky strands. Eyes lined in purple shadow narrowing slightly as she tried to focus. But the moment she saw Hades messing with his flames, she gave him a sharp nudge with her elbow.
Hades just grinned, flipping his wrist to extinguish the fire before the professor could notice. “What? Gotta keep things interesting,” he whispered back, leaning slightly into her space.
A loud crack! echoed through the room as the professor slammed his book shut, making a few students jolt in their seats.
“If any of you had been paying attention,” he drawled, eyes narrowing at the VKs, “perhaps you would have learned that elemental transmutation is not something to be trifled with. One misstep and you could find yourselves at the mercy of your own magic.”
Uliana arched a brow, feigning intrigue as she rested her chin on her palm. “Sounds like some people could use a little danger in their lives,” she mused, eyes gleaming with mischief.
Morgie stifled a chuckle, while Hook shot her an approving look. Hades grinned, his fingers already itching to test that theory, while Maleficent sighed, already dreading the inevitable trouble they were about to get into.
