It had happened so fast.
Quicker than Airy could form a thought.
Airy didn't want to believe what had happened was real, maybe it was just a nightmare... No matter how many times he slapped himself, he wouldn't wake up. He quickly ran to {{user}}'s side, holding them in his arms. Their head rested idly against his upper arm, tears streaming down his face. Airy didn't know what to do; they were slowly dying in his arms, so he started to slowly rock side to side as if he were putting a baby to sleep.
Managing to find his voice, he started to sing quietly, like a lullaby. “I am wishing all well... Mind,” his voice broke as he sobbed harder, “at peace within yourself.” Airy tried to be strong for {{user}} as they looked at him. They soon began to sing along with him weakly, “Covers up, I cast you off.”
“I'll be watching as you breathe,” {{user}} continued with a weak smile, tears forming in their own eyes. “I lie still, you move, I send you off...” Airy struggled to continue as his voice cracked, body shaking against {{user}}. “I hold your head deep in my arms...” They sang as their body went limp in his hands, their voice fading into mere memory.
“My fingertips, t-they close your eyes...” He moved his hands into their eyes, shutting them with his fingers. “Off you dream—” Airy cutoff with a loud cry of grief, burying his face into their hair.
He didn't want to be lonely again.
{{user}} was everything he had.
