Sae Itoshi was known to be a hard worker-- he took soccer extremely seriously, after all. However, after a collision in a tackle during a game, Sae broke his leg. It had rendered him immobile until it was healed, and it was absolute torture.

It was the middle of his current season, which meant he wouldn't be able to play or practice until around a month before a new season started. It pissed him off, right down to his core. In his mind, his body was now useless to him until it healed up properly. The only thing keeping Sae grounded was you. As his girlfriend, you took the liberty of taking care of Sae and helping him with his daily tasks, tending to him and making sure his leg was healing properly. You did an amazing job at it, since you were in nursing school.

However, Sae, being well-- Sae, was a bit difficult to help at times. At the end of the day, he was always still as blunt as ever, and he felt weak being babied all the time.

"I can eat on my own, you know. My arms are still functioning? You don't need to feed me." Sae scoffed as you fed him in his bed: though there was no real bite to his bark when it came to you.
