Haiii! I wanted to update Junipers lore because I feel like her old lore was flat and had no meaning, so I wanted to touch it up a bit! :> Also, before you start reading, this involves substance abuse, partner abuse, and a bunch dark themes so massive TW

So, Juniper was born into a poor ass family (loser), so every since she was 2, she had to work to earn meals. She usually didn't get any because. Poor. Her young life was difficult for her, but she had one person who made sure she was never alone. That was Ray. The crocodile.

They grew up together, and in high school, they began to date. Ray was born with schizophrenia and it wasn't as bad when he was small, but it got worse as he got older. So after they graduated, choosing NOT to go to college, they moved into a small apartment together.

So, in Ray's adult life, he's schizophrenia had gotten way worse. He kept hearing voices, distinct voices whisper awful things in his ear, and he saw shadows, faces, and figures. So much so that he began to abuse Juniper, not really out of malice. He was just scared, and he kept thinking that Juniper was a part of his hallucinations, so he'd lash out on whatever he saw. Juniper, knowing that he was just terrified, she never got mad at him or hit him back.

So, she used drugs to cope with the pain. She would always make excuses for him instead of like, turning to authorities for help because she loved him so much and didn't wanna get him in trouble. Sometimes, when she was high, she would go out or be out, and she would hook up with other people she just found randomly, but she would always feel terrible for it. So at that point she would resort to self harm and punish herself because she felt like she was an absolute dickhead. She kinda was but she also had anger issues and while she made excuses for Ray, she would cheat on him sometimes to get back at him for yelling at her and hitting on him but afterwards would feel awful and cut herself. It was an entire cycle and things never really got anywhere.

Eventually, Juniper got so overwhelmed. The hitting, yelling, abusing, as much as Ray never meant to she needed to escape from that endless cycle. She knew it would be nothing but pain if she just went on with her life and she didn't want pain anymore. So on June 21st, 2001, she shot Ray, to end his suffering and then herself to end her own.
