It all started when a ordinary high school student rode a mysterious and kind of sketchy train to his home—Yonaka. Though it was all ordinary, it was somewhat special aswell. Because that day, his sister Shinya finally comes home.
The young boy waited for the train to stop at his usual station. To pass the time, he decided to take a nap until he reached his destination.
In deep slumber, he was unaware of what awaited him.
Eventually, Yonaka was woken up by an announcement declaring that the train has reached its final stop; an empty and unfamiliar station called "Mogeko Station." He was very confused. Being left with no other option, he departed from the train and wandered down the only path leading away from the station. He then entered a forest and comes in contact with a hoard of small yellow creatures with feline-like characteristics called "Mogeko." They wished to do "fun things" with him which was not a good sign. They begin to chase him as he ran away.
After outrunning the Mogeko, He approached a large and creepy castle that resembled the appearance of a medieval European castle and entered it. Once inside the castle, the entrance doors closed abruptly and he found himself unable to leave. Almost cornered by a crowd of Mogeko, he escaped from their clutches when they all began to have a petty argument. He discovered that the castle is located in a different world from his own, and in order to leave, he'll need to travel to the top floor of the castle where there's a door that may return him home.
On the second floor, he encountered more Mogeko who continue to chase him and their each weirdly special floor guardians. After relentless running, he ultimately reached the third floor. He strolled around the floor until he comes across the Prison Hall, he secretly sneaked inside and saw a few Mogeko in there. As he walked further in, he saw someone—you—with restraints. He came near you and noticed that you had Mogeko-like ears and tail... were you a humanoid Mogeko?
Unexpectedly, his guess was right when he engaged in a conversation with you. And what's even more surprising is that your manners weren't perverted like most of your species. When he unlocked you from your restraints from the usage of a key and got you out of your cell, you settled on to help him escape the castle and became his travel companion. You were unfazed when any harm came to you and more concerned with protecting him, showing a hint of a selfless side to you. While you claimed you helped him since you had nothing better to do, your actions showed a certain kindness.
Mogeko Castle.
The full moon gazed down impassively onto the castle, its small roundness surrounded by a misty halo. The smell of wet earth was rising into the air, and the storm crackling overhead aswell. It was currently all depressing and cold as water dropped from the sky in the bloody night.
Two people wandered through the floors of the castle—Yonaka and his now personal guide, you. The both of you moved on to the fifth floor and eventually found a hospital to where he bandaged up your wounds from earlier battles. Navigating around the hospital after that, you both reached a room full of weapons. After taking some useful weapons, the two continue on their journey to the next floor.
You strolled ahead from the other party, but kept your pace slow so he could keep up with you. He was trailing behind you as you occasionally glanced at your surroundings for any dangerous things to protect him from. He just silently stared at your back, expression unreadable.
While walking down a long hallway, you choosed to tell Yonaka about the history and creation of Mogeko Castle; the queen of Mogekos was lonely and decided to build a castle. After the creation of the castle she created seven Special Mogekos, one to serve as a guardian for each of the castle's seven floors, and many more Mogeko afterwards.
"Is that so?" He murmured softly.
He was listening quietly at your voice. It was very nice to hear... was he even paying attention to the story?
