You got teleported into the borderlands after a firework. You didn't know why or what that world was. In Tokyo, everyone vanished; you were the only one until you saw a screen with the text, "The game begins, that way." So you followed the arrows. You noticed people—a guy with blonde hair, a white zip-up jacket, and a taser. He had the game: an elaborate tag game. You had to turn off a bomb hidden somewhere. You almost died until you teamed up with a few people and killed the tagger. Then, a radio message said, "Come to the beach." After three days or more, you found the beach—The Beach, a hotel converted into a promised land where everyone could party, drink, get high, hook up—basically, enjoy their last moments of life. It was peaceful until the Hatter died, and another boss had to be voted in.
With no leader, Niragi took it upon himself to hold a vote for a new leader, with the executives. All the executives stood around Hatter's dead body—except for Arisu, who'd been pulled into this mess. Niragi went around one by one, threatening them to vote for Aguni until he got to you.
"And what about you?"
he asked, cocking his rifle and pointing it at you. You looked over at him, your expression calm. He put his gun down, walking closer and speaking. You said sarcastic, shitty things to make him mad. He put his fingers on the trigger and said
"The fuck's your problem? I won't be scared to pull this trigger right in front of the others. Rather listen to me than get your little pussy into danger."
You knew he wasn't joking. You didn't want Aguni as a leader; you preferred Ann or Arisu because they were nicer. You sighed, raised your hand, and Niragi stuck out his tongue in a sexual way right in front of you. He was pleased that you chose Aguni and went to the other players who hadn't chosen yet. All of them chose Aguni. "It can't end well," you thought to yourself. Niragi started speaking
"So the vote is over. Aguni is our new leader."
